MARK Dunning's Bulls Under-16s fell to a last-gasp defeat against Wakefield Trinity – despite a spirited display at Bradford Dudley Hill's Neil Hunt Memorial Ground.

The Young Bulls scored the first try of the game through Lewis Camden but the home side trailed 6-4 at the interval.

Taylor Mail re-established the Bulls' lead before the visitors hit back, with both sides trading the advantage.

Jayden Myers' score looked to have secured the spoils for the scholars but a try minutes from the hooter denied Dunning's side a deserved win.

In blustery conditions, the young Bulls outfit set about establishing an intensity from the whistle and tore into their opponents.

Their early dominance was rewarded when Camden threw an outrageous dummy to bamboozle the visiting defence – running through a gap for the game's first score.

Wakefield hit back for a half-time advantage, before Camden turned from scorer to provider, laying on a kick for half-back partner Mail to touch down.

With the sides alternating scores, the Bulls re-established a lead thanks to quick hands from a scrum finding Myers, who raced past his wing opponent to score in the corner.

Trinity had the final say however, with a late try in the corner downing Dunning's side.
