A YOUNG Bradford boxer made a comeback with a quick-fire local win at the weekend.
Haider Hussain, of Lights Out Boxing Academy, won a bout in the Laisterdyke Amateur Boxing Club home-show stopping his opponent in the first round.
The youngster's coach, Inzar Ahmed, said his charge had prepared extremely hard for the fight and was determined to continue despite several setbacks.
Hussain came up against a boxer 2kg heavier than himself, but battled hard to win through.
Coach Ahmed added: "Haider recently was going through a bad patch.
"I worked with him closely making sure he was mentally prepared.
"It was the only stoppage of the night, but the victory itself has helped Haider get back on track I am very proud of him."
