THE Bradford Sunday Alliance football league's interest in the West Riding Sunday cup ended when all three its Premier division clubs were beaten at the quarter final stage.

West Bowling will be disappointed with their narrow 4-3 loss away at FC Walker Hounds, with not much to play for in the league.

The Hounds started the liveliest and went in front after just seven minutes.

But, Bowling started to get a grip of the midfield and when they were awarded a free kick on the edge of the box their leading scorer Joe Jagger powered his shot past the wall and into the net.

After 24 minutes they then went ahead for the first time.

Joe Jagger was instrumental again - this time his shot came off the post and hit a defender before going in past the keeper.

Bowling were looking comfortable, but on the stroke of half-time conceded an equalising goal direct from a corner, which confused the defence.

After the break the home team started strongly again and once more took the lead at 3-2, but this Bowling side does not know when to give up.

When Paul Hague was brought down in the box Joe Jagger took the penalty and sent the keeper the wrong way to equalise again and bag his second of the game.

The match swung from end to end and with just two minutes to go Bowling where undone.

A ball across the box was turned home to put the Hounds through into the next round.

Westwood Park, who lead the Premier Division, and second-placed Crossflatts Village were the other sides knocked out.

Back in the league, it was honours even in a mid-table Championship derby clash between Wrose Bull and Tyersal.

The two sides, who sit fifth and fourth in the league respectively, played out a 2-2 draw at the Claremont Playing Fields.

There were goals from Jason Shields and substitute Liam Charles for Tyersal.

The only Premier Division fixture to take place saw Wyke Rangers succumb to a 2-1 loss at home to Bolton Woods.

Bolton Woods' victory takes the side into sixth in the league as they leapfrog Station Hotel.

Five games took place in Division One, with an unexpectedly exciting match taking place between leaders Peacock Bar and bottom-placed Eccleshill Punjab.

At half-time the sides were sharing the spoils, at 2-2, but Peacock came good in the second to win 6-3.
