FOUR games went ahead in the West Riding County Amateur Premier at the weekend, as the weather begins to warm and fixture normality resumes.

Second-placed TVR United kept apace with leaders Golcar United after a 2-1 victory away at fellow Bradford side PFC.

Mohammed Zubar Khan netted for PFC, but goals from Faisal Shabir and Abid Khan for TVR gave them the three points.

The win keeps United seven adrift, but with two games in hand, on goal-hungry Golcar who are closing in on a league century after their game at the weekend.

The Premier Division leaders Golcar took their tally to 92, against latest victims Route One Rovers.

Golcar came out 8-1 victors at home to the mid-table side and there was a hat-trick for Alex Hallam - the club's second top scorer.

This time, club and league top goal-getter Buddy Cox was absent from the scoresheet, but Craig Cartwright, Ryan John, Joshua Lang, and Doran Jordan with two, were on hand to help Golcar to the comprehensive win.

Haseeb Ahmed got the consolation for Rovers.

Golcar United have now completed their home games and will be playing all their remaining games, whilst their ground will be upgraded to assist their bid to move up to Step 6 of the N.L.S. next season.

There was a second nine-goal thriller involving two sides lower down in the division.

This one was much closer than the Golcar affair though, with Steeton Reserves eventually edging out hosts Toller FC by five goals to four.

A win for Toller FC would have put them level on points with Bradford Olympic, whose game against Lower Hopton was postponed, but it was a hat-trick for Casey Dowthwaite and one each for Ben Cox and Josh Debenham that put them to the sword.

Kamran Khan can take personal solace from the game though, as he got all four for Toller.

The final fixture in the league saw Ryburn United at home to Lepton Highlanders.

With their close competitors out of action, the hosts moved to within a point of fourth-placed Lower Hopton after their 4-0 win at the league's bottom club.

The victory came thanks to goals from Christian Silkstone, Brad Tynan, Luke Hartley and Ashton Richardson.

Third-placed Littletown's game at home to Ovenden West Riding was postponed.
