City's losing run goes on after a battling but ultimately unrewarded effort at leaders MK Dons.

The Bantams frustrated the home side for long spells without ever threatening to score themselves.

Centre half Danny Swailes hit the post early on but City rode the pressure. On-loan keeper Rhys Evans was relatively untroubled because of the Dons' poor finishing.

But City, who gave Nicky Law a debut in midfield, were undone with 18 minutes left.

Substitute Joe Colbeck carelessly conceded possession to Ray Lewington whose cross was played into the path of skipper Keith Andrews to fire home his seventh goal of the season.

Nine minutes later it was over as a contest. Colbeck conceded a free-kick, City couldn't clear and Swailes made up for his earlier miss by scoring from close range.

Barry Conlon netted his first City goal in stoppage time, scoring from the penalty spot after he had been fouled by Drewe Broughton. But it was too late to prevent a fourth loss on the bounce for Stuart McCall's men.
