It wasn't easy being a Bradford City fan last night.
The Bantams had looked to be cruising at 3-1 up against Shrewsbury Town at a bitterly cold Valley Parade - but their visitors looked to have sealed a late comeback when an injury-time penalty made it 3-3.
Perhaps understandably given the season they've had, many Bantams thought it was all over:
You can be 3-1 up at home and not see the game out. That has relegation all over it! #bcafc

Useless. Bloody useless #bcafc
— Duncan Stead (@dunc_stead) January 29, 2019
Just relegate us now so we don’t have to go through this anymore #bcafc
— Luke Guest (@LukeGBantam) January 29, 2019
3-1 up to 3-3 at home is absolutely criminal when you’re in our position! #bcafc 🐓

An experienced defender conceding a penalty in the last minute is criminal. League 2 here we come #bcafc

Many fans started to head for the exits - but they had reckoned without David Ball's 96th-minute winner for Bradford. Most of the tweets that greeted his goal can't be reproduced on a family website, but here are some of the printable ones:

The final whistle was met with a mixture of jubilation and relief.
Sat 120 miles away punching the settee to punching the air in the space of 2 minutes. Why do you do this to me #BCAFC https://t.co/UWFcEUajb6

Football will be the death of me my daaaaaaaays #bcafc

Fans were left heading home with a smile on their faces - whether or not they'd stayed to the end.
Actually well emotional after that performance. Ball you absolute beautiful man 😍 #bcafc

Might not be the highest quality football but it’s been a while since I’ve come away with a smile on my face. I’d take this over dreary predictable safety play any day. #bcafc

Delighted all those that walked out at 3-3 missed that. It was incredible ❤️💛 #bcafc

If you don't fall over and land on your head celebrating a 95th minute winner, you've not done it right.
— Chris (@CLane_89) January 29, 2019
Ouch!
What a game!!
We Are Staying Up!!#bcafc
Toes me n fingers frozen but you can't beat a 96th minute winner .#bcafc

Leaving VP with a few more grey hairs, drained and a gargantuan sigh of relief.
— Adam Baker (@Addybak) January 29, 2019
90+3 "I bloody hate football". 90+6 "I bloody love it". You don't get that rollercoaster anywhere else. #bcafc
Not celebrated a goal like that for ages anguished in bogs at 3-3 then nearly ended up on pitch 2 minutes later what supporting city is all about #bcafc
— Greg Colehan (@thewahsie) January 29, 2019
Do #bcafc fans have a shortened life expectancy? I was only watching via Twitter & that was bad enough
— Helen Stowell (@muddy_hooves) January 29, 2019
9/10 leaving a game in 90+3 after throwing away a 2 goal lead in 20 minutes pays off. This happened to be the 1 that it didn’t, left the ground disgusted, going to bed delighted. David Ball you sexy man - in a massive 6 pointer at VP. #bcafc pic.twitter.com/6lkL4pyxiS

We suspect there will be a few sore heads today.
