FARSLEY Celtic completed a North East Regional Women's League double over Rotherham with a comfortable 4-1 win through Clare Parker, Shirley Murphy, Megan Oliver and Dee Swales.

There was only one game in the West Riding County Women's League Premier as Silsden recorded their first win of the season.

Wetherby Athletic equalised just before the break in a scrappy game not helped by the wind, but Silsden won through 4-2 with goals from Rebecca Brown (2), Sophie Gaines-Fagan and Nic Frankland.

In Division One, Natasha Sunderland was on target for Ilkley Town with a first-half goal but her team lost 6-1 at Boroughbridge.

Skipton went down 2-0 to joint leaders Lower Hopton and eight-man Tyersal played well with a resolute defence and some good saves from their stand-in keeper but lost 10-0 to Ripon.

However, Thackley Firsts continued their good form as they beat Leeds City 9-0 including four from Valeria Martin and a brace from Megan Butterworth.

In Division Two, Thackley Reserves also won their local derby 3-2 against Farsley Junior Reserves through Paris Lockwood, Hope Nichol and Lucy Turner.

Farsley Juniors Firsts are currently joint leaders after a 4-0 win over Huddersfield Amateur and Phoenix beat Pontefract Sports 3-2.

Huddersfield Town are second in the National League Northern Premier after their 4-2 victory over Middlesbrough through Lucy Sowerby, Katie Nutter, Sarah Danby and Brittany Sanderson.

Brighouse Town held on for a 1-1 draw at Barnsley, after Emma Dobson's first-half goal was cancelled out just after the interval.

Leeds United had a good 3-1 win over Newcastle, with goals from Emily Cassidy, Rebecca Hunt and Holly Findlay.
