ECCLESHILL United's promotion-winning skipper is leaving to warmer climes.

Defender Sam Bradley, who led the side to NCEL Division One glory last season, is heading to Dubai with work meaning he leaves the club.

Bradley joined the Eagles at the end of the 2015/16 season and quickly found himself promoted to captaincy.

The skipper was due to play his final game for the club on Wednesday night, but due to a frozen pitch the fixture against Albion Sports was postponed.

Another postponement for the same reason last weekend, means Bradley's last appearance came in the January 12 home win against Yorkshire Amateur.

Bradley said: "As everyone knows football has been a massive part of my life and always will be. I would just like to thank everyone at Eccleshill who has made my journey with the club a special one.

"The club has come so far since I joined and to lead this team to promotion is a truly proud moment in my life which I will never forget.

"From the fans, players, volunteers, the manager, chairman, owners of the club and, of course, the media guys. You have all made this club feel like home."

Bradley leaves the side sitting in a healthy mid-table position and they won't play their next game until February 9.

Elsewhere in the Premier Division, Thackley, who are 16th, face a tricky trip to Worksop Town, who are fifth, tomorrow.

Albion Sports, who are 17th, have an even more difficult assignment when they entertain second-placed Penistone Church.

Just below in Division One, leaders Campion will look to improve on their 1-1 draw to fellow challengers Nostell Miners Welfare.

Campion travel to ninth-placed Parkgate.

In the Hallmark Security League Division One North, Steeton, who grabbed a 3-3 draw last weekend, are at home again tomorrow when they face Prestwich Heys.

Roy Mason's Chevrons will be looking to improve on their mid-table position.

Meanwhile, in the Premier Division, Silsden, who suffered defeat at the hands of relegation-threatened West Didsbury and Chorlton last weekend, travel to City of Liverpool tomorrow.

Danny Forrest's Silsden remain 12th in the league, but will be disappointed to lose to two relegation candidates back-to-back.

In the Evo-Stik League Premier Division, Farsley Celtic travel to Scarborough Athletic.
