JORDAN Gibson is hoping his loan move to Stevenage can be sorted this week.

The young winger, who is out of the picture under David Hopkin, was given permission by City to speak to the League Two club and met them for talks yesterday.

Nothing has been agreed but Gibson is desperate to get some regular game-time under his belt after limited opportunities at Valley Parade.

The 20-year-old has played 22 times for City since signing for Stuart McCall in the summer of 2017 – but the bulk of those appearances have been from the bench. He has started only two league games.

Gibson has not been involved since October when he came off the bench in the 4-0 thrashing at Gillingham.

He has another 18 months to run on the City contract he signed last summer.
