OAKENSHAW made the most of a truncated programme in the Bradford Sunday Alliance League Premier Division, bouncing back from a shaky first half at Wyke Rangers to record a 5-2 victory.

The visitors remain third after the win, but are now only three points behind Crossflatts Village and five adrift of leaders Westwood Park, with a game in hand on both.

Wyke are third-bottom, but gave Oakenshaw a fright in a keenly-contested first half, with the sides locked at 2-2 heading into the interval.

Oakenshaw demonstrated their superiority in the second half, scoring three goals without reply to secure the win. Marcus Edwards starred, netting a hat-trick for the visitors.

Lowly Ventus Yeadon Celtic United thumped fellow strugglers Thornton United 4-1 in a basement clash. Adam Turner was at the double for Yeadon, with Andy Matthews and Ashley Forber also netting.

Leaders Northern wrapped up an easy away win in the Championship, beating rock-bottom Heaton United 4-0. Second-placed Wrose Bull achieved a similar feat, winning 3-0 on the road at AFC Titans.

AFC Wibsey and Prospect shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw, while Keighley Town and Tyersal Sunday drew 0-0, a game in which Town saw their keeper sent off.

Mid-table Fairweather Green recorded an impressive 5-2 victory over third-placed visitors Bradford Moor in Division One, with Brendan Maltby and Tion Richards both scoring braces for the hosts.

Leaders Beldon Oddies were made to sweat by lowly Bolton Woods Socials, but eventually recorded a 3-2 away win in which Arron Sagar found the net twice.

Elsewhere, FC Queensbury beat FC Dog & Gun 3-1.

Hapless Malt Kiln Rangers suffered another Division Two humiliation, losing 13-0 at home to AFC Prince of Orange to make it 14 defeats out of 14 for the season.

There were plenty of goals elsewhere too. Leaders Mill Lane beat Low Moor 5-3 in a thriller, while Throstle Nest United emerged as 6-4 winners from their game with AFC Wibsey Reserves.

In Division Three, top of the table Clayton Albion showed no mercy in their 9-1 win at New Inn Socials, while AFC Undercliffe lost 4-2 at George Hotel 2018.

The hosts eased into a 3-0 lead just after half-time. A good finish from Cameron Needham put Undercliffe back in the game, but George soon netted a penalty to go 4-1 up. A sublime second goal from Needham was merely a consolation.
