FARSLEY Celtic and Warrington Town remain joint second in the Evo-Stik Premier Division after a gripping 3-3 draw at Throstle Nest.

The clubs went into the game locked on the same points total and with the same goal difference and nothing changed after yesterday's six-goal thriller.

They both remain one point off the top as leaders Nantwich Town were held to a goalless draw at sixth-placed Gainsborough Trinity. The Celts will be feeling worse though after Warrington snatched a point with an 87th minute equaliser.

It was the visitors who broke the deadlock after Adam Clayton had pushed Tony Gray in the penalty area. Bohan Dixon stepped forward and he sent Celts keeper Kyle Trenerry the wrong way from the spot.

Farsley levelled the game just before the interval when Paul Walker sent in a superb free kick that went in off the inside of the post, giving Warrington's keeper Tony McMillan no chance.

The Celts got their noses in front for the first time when Dave Syers converted Luke Parkin’s 57th minute free kick with a firm header.

Their advantage was doubled when Warrington skipper Mark Roberts, with his back to goal, hooked the ball into his own net.

The home side’s two goal advantage lasted just three minutes as Warrington substitute Josh Amis’ first involvement saw him head Evan Gumbs’ 72nd minute cross past Trenerry.

Amis grabbed the late equaliser after a half clearance led to a scramble inside the Farsley area and the substitute headed home.

Brighouse Town also held onto second spot as they won 3-1 at Belper Town in Division One East.

Vill Powell’s men took a 20th minute lead against their hosts when a good move led to a through ball that Aaron Martin calmly slotted in.

Belper were level minutes later after an own goal which eventually went down against James Hurtley but Brighouse got back in front after 56 minutes when Adam Field converted a Tom Robinson corner with a firm header.

The visitors cemented their win as Martin bagged a brace. Great work from Gabby Johnson put the striker through and he rounded opposing keeper Leigh Overton and slotted in.
