BRADFORD club TVR United moved up into second place above Lower Hopton following their latest win in the West Riding County Amateur League.

While Lower Hopton's home game against Steeton Reserves was postponed, TVR made it eight wins from nine league games after a 5-3 home success against P FC.

Faisal Shabir and Asif Iqbal both scored twice with Jahid Taj netting the fifth. Zubair Khan (2) and Zain Ali replied for their Bradford-based visitors.

Huddersfield side Golcar United kept their grip on the top spot with a resounding 8-1 home win over their visitors Toller FC.

Buddy Cox and Craig Cartwright led the way with two goals each, with Jordan Tindle, Alex Hallam, Dominic Moorhouse and Jonathon Newiss adding the others, while Kamran Khan converted from the penalty spot in the first half for Toller.

Esholt-based Route One Rovers, with strikes from Danyal Yasin, Awais Khan and Geoffrey Mpankuli, beat bottom club Lepton Highlanders 3-1. Max Mallinson netted a consolation for the visitors.

The overnight rain on Friday night into Saturday saw another two of the six scheduled fixtures postponed.

Early ground inspections at Bradford Olympic and Littletown saved their Halifax-based opponents Ryburn United and Ovenden West Riding from travelling.
