Pendle District Cricket League (PDCL) hosted their annual awards night.
KPK picked-up the league winners trophy whilst Whitefield were Pemberton Cup champions.
Welcoming guests to the presentation in Brierfield Chairman Muhammed Shakeel Butt said, “The PDCL is providing a platform to engage young people through healthy activities.
“The past two years have witnessed a growing number of young players participating in the league and making outstanding performances. This is evident in teams such as United CC who have challenged the supremacy of the more established teams.
“It is also wonderful that senior players are encouraging them through the season.”
Guests included, Cllr Mohammed Iqbal and Ben Kelly, Manager at Body in Motions
Rehan Aslam Butt Captain of Whitefield said, “I would also like to extend my thanks to the Pendle District League officials who arranged the grounds and the officials for the season.
“They have worked tirelessly in arranging matches and promoting and providing facilities for cricket within the Pendle area.
“I would also like to thank Clearwater Solicitors for sponsoring Whitefield CC.”
