Former Wigan threequarters Iain Thornley and Stefan Marsh are among a raft of new signings announced by Championship club Leigh.

The Centurions, relegated from Super League two years ago, are rebuilding under new coach John Duffy, having finally reached settlements with the two players who were still on full-time contracts.

Thornley, 27, who was a tryscorer in Wigan's 2013 Challenge Cup final victory over Hull at Wembley, was released by Catalans Dragons at the end of the 2018 season and will combine his part-time role with training for a new career as an electrician.

"It's the perfect move for me and I can't wait to get started," Thornley said.

"I've been planning for a career and life after rugby and Rugby League Cares have been a tremendous help while I really appreciate what Leigh Centurions have also done to welcome me."

Marsh, 28, who has spent the last seven seasons at Widnes, will also combine jobs as a personal trainer.

Among Leigh's other new faces are Wales international Andy Bracek, who joins from Swinton, and ex-Salford back rower Luke Adamson from Rochdale.
