CROSSFLATTS Village won the top-of-the-table clash 4-1 at home to Westwood Park in the Bradford Sunday Alliance Premier Division thanks to goals from Lewis Morgan, Oliver Metcalfe, skipper Matty Morgan (penalty) and Brandon Hammond.

But the highlight of the game for the home fans was the 80th minute substitute appearance of evergreen Ronnie Cartwright.

The flame-haired midfield workhorse was celebrating his 50th birthday and he was given a rapturous reception by the home crowd when he came on as the leaders went four points clear.

Bolton Woods won 3-0 at home to Wyke Rangers, going in 1-0 up at the interval through a strike by Andrew McHugh, who completed his brace in the second half. Scott Mortimore was also on the mark.

West Bowling's unbeaten run shuddered to a halt as they lost 4-0 to Oakenshaw in a third versus fourth clash.

Oakenshaw took the lead after just 10 minutes when Marcus Edwards hammered his shot in at the near post. Bowling started to get into the game and Joe Jagger was unlucky to see his shot come off the post and across the goal line without going in.

In the second half Bowling created a few chances, mainly headers by John May, who had one go outside of the post, one cleared off the line and one hit the bar.

With Bowling pushing forward, the pace and power of Edwards tore them apart and he added a further three goals to his tally.

Ventus Yeadon pulled away from the lower reaches of the Premier Division when they went goal crazy at Sandy Lane, hitting seven.

Luke Harrop hit four for the visitors at Marley and Adam Turner also bagged a brace, with Andy Mathews completing the scoring.

Peacock Bar moved into second spot in Division One when they beat Delius 7-1 at Avenue Road.

Peacock were three in front at the interval thanks to goals from Darren Fothergill and Adam Mottram (2). Further goals from subs James Hepworth and James Bloodworth (2), plus a second from Fothergill completed the rout. Ashley Delaney scored the home team's consolation.

FC Queensbury won a 3-2 thriller at East Bierley Village, with Ross Mason (2) and Steven Mason on the scoresheet for the visitors.
