TAUSEEF Suleman returned to winning ways with a fine points victory in Sheffield.

The Bradford based boxer, representing the KBW Boxing Gym in Dewsbury, headed into the fight off the back of two controversial defeats – and was determined to prove a point.

Boxing in Sheffield at the Shiregreen WMC. Suleman was facing Isaac Burgan from the famous Ingles Boxing Gym.

Both boxers came out giving their all and landing some hard and clean shots early on.

However, it was Suleman who started to use his range and box behind his jab, using some clever footwork to make his opponent miss, and land his blows.

At the start of the second round, Burgan caught Suleman with a sharp 1-2 combination. Sensing he had the upper hand, the home fighter put pressure on Suleman, making him back into the ropes while he landed his shots.

Midway through the second round the action stepped up when Suleman, fighting off the ropes, caught Burgan flush to the head and staggered him. But Burgan battled back and finished well to leave the fight even going into the final round.

Knowing that he had to win the third, Suleman went back to his boxing and opened up his opponent with some sharp jabs. Suleman stayed in close, landing to the head of Burgan before going down to the body.

The Bradford man continued to showcase his boxing skills rather than brawl, and after a gruelling bout he was awarded a split points decision.

Suleman will be back in action on December 1 and 15 on a KBW home show.
