ANDREW Chalmers is delighted to bring the 'feel-good factor to Bradford' following news the promotion-winning Bulls are to be honoured with a civic reception next week.

The Lord Mayor of Bradford Council Zafar Ali will welcome John Kear's squad to City Hall for a special reception on Wednesday, November 28.

Bulls bounced back to the Championship at the first time of asking after a superb play-off victory against Workington last month.

And chairman Chalmers said: “I’m extremely proud of what we have managed to accomplish this year with the backing of a dedicated coaching staff, determined team-mates and an army of loyal fans.

“We would like to thank the Lord Mayor for hosting a civic reception to help celebrate the success of the year, bringing a feel-good factor to Bradford.”

Cllr Zafar Ali said: “We look forward to welcoming the players and coaching staff to City Hall to celebrate their superb achievement last season, and look forward to their season ahead in the Championship.”

Cllr Sarah Ferriby, executive member for healthy people and places, said: “To get promotion to the Championship at the first time of asking was a fantastic achievement.

"The team really did remarkably well last season, only losing three league matches over the entire season.

“It’s good news for the whole district and we hope that they can make it back-to-back promotions and get back into the Super League where they belong.”
