ST BEDES cruised to a 5-2 win at home to Leeds Medics and Dentists Reserves in the Yorkshire Amateur League Premier Division.

Bedes took the lead in the 20th minute when a wonderful free-kick by Jarad Peltier found Gary Sunderland at the back post to head home. Bedes increased their advantage with a solo effort from Andrew McHugh and, though Medics pulled one back before the break, McHugh added a second after the interval.

Man of the match James Gilmartin bagged the fourth and, after Florian Nuredeen doubled his tally for Medics, Jermaine Moyce deservedly added a fifth.

Farsley Celtic Juniors lead the division by three points from champions Drighlington after the top two drew 2-2 at Drig.

Danny Lyon was brought down in the box and Joe Firth converted the spot-kick for Farsley but the hosts restored parity by half-time when Josh Frankland's corner somehow squeezed in.

Drig went 2-1 up after a Carlton Binks penalty but, with five minutes to go, Farsley drew level when Louis Surtees converted yet another spot-kick.

Grangefield Old Boys are in third after an emphatic 4-1 win at home to Stanley United.

Two goals from Kristian Dacre and one from Andrew Kenyon put Grangefield 3-1 up by the break and they extended their lead when a Rhys O'Hare corner was met perfectly by Luke Hunter.

Will Harris, Aidan Gilligan, Jake Williams, Daniel Mountain and Greg Rowell were on target for Horsforth St Margarets in their 5-1 win at Stanningley OB.

Wibsey remain bottom with one win from eight outings but were unfortunate not to gain anything in a 2-1 defeat at Leeds Medics and Dentists.

The Bradford side took the lead with a wonderful volley from Simon Sewell but a superb free-kick from captain David Emms levelled matters.

A penalty was saved by the Wibsey keeper in the 82nd minute but with two minutes left, Colm Hicks sent a rasping drive through a crowded area and into the net.

In Division One, third-placed Idle fought back from 4-2 down at Golcar United to earn a 4-4 draw.

Jack Strudwick made it 4-3 after scoring his second goal before midfield dynamo - and man of the match - Carl Dawson scored his second to secure a point.

Tyersal were also involved in a goal-fest, coming out 6-4 winners in their Division Two clash at home to Trinity Old Boys.

Tyersal, who are second in the table, saw Curtis Hammond, Joshua Hyde, Ryan Pogson, with his ninth goal for the season, man of the match Wayne Sparks (2) and Wayne Wright on target as they made it seven games unbeaten.

Fairbank's four-match winning streak came to an abrupt end against fourth-placed Horsforth St Margaret's Reserves, who won 4-2.

That was despite a double from Fairbank's Hussain Iqbal as he made it nine goals for the campaign. Horsforth netted through James Brennan (2), Joe Clapham and Laurence Patterson.
