Bulls capture Semi Tadulala has reassured fans: I'm fit and raring to go.

The Fijian winger has signed from Wakefield Trinity Wildcats on a one-year deal but has not played since March after breaking his arm.

Tadulala was due to return to action in June but the fracture had not healed correctly and he required more surgery which ruled him out for the season.

The powerful wideman is confident his problems are over though and he will be a hit in Bradford colours.

"The doctor pretty much said it was a career-ending injury but I looked beyond it," revealed Tadulala.

"I knew it was going to get fixed and believed I'd get through it. I never doubted that and now I'm looking forward to having an awesome season with the Bulls."

The former Melbourne Storm flier reckons the enforced rest will leave him in perfect condition to shine at Grattan Stadium.

Tadulala said: "My body feels recovered. Everyone thinks I've had a holiday this year but even though I've not been playing I have been training. That's all I've been doing and I feel great.

"I'm a Christian and He helps me a lot. The way I see it, if He'd wanted me to play back in March I would have but he's done me a favour really and given me a bit of a break. I don't think Wakefield will like that but it's all worked out well.

"I had an x-ray three weeks ago and this time it's healed up. I'll have another scan when I get back from my holidays just to make sure everything's going according to plan but it's all looking good."

Fans' favourite Tadulala, 29, scored 35 tries in 83 games for the Wildcats but turned down their offer of a new deal.

He also boldly refused Bradford's initial two-year proposal in favour of the 12-month option, demonstrating his confidence as he now must perform to secure a long-term future.

Tadulala said: "I decided to do that as I want to prove myself. I'm definitely backing myself. If I have a good year I'm letting Bradford know I'm worth buying. Hopefully I can then extend the contract by two or three years.

"It is a big move for me and I've got some quite big shoes to fill in Les Vainikolo's but I'm looking forward to the challenge and new start. I'd been at Wakefield four years and I've needed a change. This is the right time to move on."

Athletic Tadulala had hoped to be representing Fiji in the current Rugby World Cup after agreeing to join Gloucester on loan last year.

But work permit problems meant his switch to union never happened and the player returned to Super League where he has earned a reputation as one of the best wingers around.

Tadulala was Wakefield's top try-scorer with 17 touchdowns last year and is expected to play on the left at Odsal, outside former Wildcats colleague David Solomona - also a big friend - and Shontayne Hape.

He said: "I've been hanging around with all the Bradford boys a lot already. They're a big club, one of the best in Super League, and I'm honoured to play for them."

Tadulala meets up for the start of pre-season training in November and said: "I'm going back to Sydney first and then to Fiji. I've not been back there for over six years, since the World Cup in 2000."
