KEIGHLEY Cougars fans can quiz the club's general manager at a meeting later this month.

Steve Gill will take questions at a supporters' club meeting on Thursday, November 22. The session will take place in the executive suite at Cougar Park from 7.30pm.

The former Castleford Tigers chief executive officer, who walked into Cougar Park as part of a takeover in July, said the club is welcoming a new era and needs to win back the trust of the people of Keighley.

Gill conceded it has been a year of turmoil for Cougars. They were taken over by Austria Holdings, an off-shore investment company/portfolio, in July and are the club's major shareholders.

This followed Cougars revealing its financial crisis earlier that month. The Cougar Park club revealed it just avoided going out of business after players' contracts had been met, their bank balance stood at just £34.23. It was looking to raise £45,000 to see the club through for the rest of the league season.

Cougars have had a busy pre-season so far, signing seven players since their Betfred League One season ended in September.

Anthony Bowman, who played a one-off game for Keighley Cougars last season, has joined Betfred League One rivals Oldham Roughyeds.

The 26-year-old, who played for Rockingham Sharks in Western Australia, can play half-back, centre or loose-forward.

Shortly after returning from Australia last summer, he played a one-off game for Keighley Cougars, again at half-back, this time alongside Benn Hardcastle in Cougars' 15-8 win over Oldham at Cougar Park.

Meanwhile, Davey Dixon scored his second international try in three appearances for Scotland.

The Cougars winger followed up scoring the opening try in Scotland's 50-12 defeat to Wales in the European Championship, with a further score last Friday.

He opened Scotland's scoring in their 28-10 loss to France.

Dixon tweeted on Sunday: "Back home now after a unbelievable three weeks with Scotland to make my debut and play three games and score two tries is a dream come true! Till next year."
