CROSSFLATTS Village are into the last 32 of the Football Association Sunday Cup after beating Merseyside opposition Dengo United 2-0 at Silsden on Sunday.

A dominant display from the Bradford Sunday Alliance Premier Division leaders was capped off by a brace from the prolific Michael Garnett, whose goals saw the West Yorkshire side through.

Meanwhile, West Bowling moved up to third spot with an 8-0 home win over Thornton United.

Away keeper Sean Turpin kept Bowling out for as long as he could, but he was eventually beaten when Wayne Sparkes' superb cross was headed in by leading scorer Joe Jagger.

Jagger was somehow denied a second by Turpin but the excellent Paul Hague crossed for Sparkes to fire the hosts 2-0 ahead just before the break.

West Bowling took complete control after half-time, and John May soon put them 3-0 up when he slid the ball home from a low cross.

Jagger and Sparkes both doubled their personal tallies two make it 5-0, before two fine strikes from the returning Kenny Tafireyi made it seven.

A fearsome low strike from Callum Wheatley found the bottom corner, as the home team completed the scoring with their eighth.

Scott Mortimer hit five as Bolton Woods emphatically won their clash against fellow strugglers Ventus Yeadon Celtic 9-0.

Elsewhere, AFC Titans completed a winning double at home to Championship table toppers Keighley Town.

Town were displaced at the summit by new leaders Wrose Bull, who hammered rock-bottom Heaton Athletic 6-2. They started well and scored twice in the first five minutes.

Chris Hawker netted one of those goals and he also scored Bull's third with a looping header from Adam Medley's cross.

After the break, Andy Howland hit a quickfire double and man of the match Jonny Dearing, who was outstanding in central midfield, rounded off the scoring for the home side.

Finally, Championship side Northern earned a surprise 3-1 win at Premier Division strugglers Wyke Rangers in the Senior Cup. A stunning first half saw them kill the game as a contest with goals from Michael Avery, Steven Ryan, and Carl Frith.
