CAMERON Green and Hermione Roe were in record-breaking form as City of Bradford opened their new season's account in the upper age group category at the Yorkshire Swimming Association’s winter competitions with an impressive display.

Thirteen-year-old Green continued to make the podium with gold medal winning performances in the 50m freestyle, 50m and 100m backstroke, 50m breaststroke, 100m butterfly and 200m individual medley. His time of 28.89secs in the 50m backstroke was a new club record.

He then went on to place second in the 50m butterfly and 100m freestyle.

Fresh from her recent success Swim England National County Team Championships, 13-year-old Roe struck gold in the 50m and 100m breaststroke, and 100m freestyle.

She also placed second in the 50m freestyle and 100m butterfly. Her time of 33.76secs in the 50m breaststroke was a lifetime best, club record and qualifying time for this year's Winter Nationals Meet. Her time of 27.46secs in the 50m freestyle was also a club record.

She rounded off the weekend with a 30.49secs in the 50m butterfly to claim bronze, and a fourth place finish in the 200m individual medley.

Other finalists were Archie Minto, who also gained a Winter Nationals qualifying time in the 200m individual medley, Cameron Mander, Fraser Buxton, George Smith and Naomi Calvert.

All of the swimmers train with leisure services aquatic development programme under the guidance of head coach Andy Pearce and development coach Sarah Fisher.
