BRADFORD (Park Avenue) manager Mark Bower expects a change of approach from Darlington tonight, but he is confident of victory if his team perform like they did against Chorley.

Avenue host the Quakers in the Vanarama National League North just five weeks after beating them 1-0 in the FA Cup.

Bower insists plenty has changed in that short space of time, saying: "We had a good result there in the cup but they've changed formation since then.

"They were more direct in that clash to suit the personnel they had up front. I think they'll play more football and I'm expecting a tougher game this time.

"But if we apply ourselves like we did against Chorley, we'll have a good chance of getting the result."

Bower was understandably thrilled with Bradford's 1-0 win over league leaders Chorley on Saturday and he praised the collective efforts of his side.

Goalkeeper Steven Drench made it into the National League North and South's Team of the Week, but Bower said: "From one to 11, all of our players could have got into that side.

"Everyone has to be on it against Chorley or they will exploit you, but we put in our most complete team performance of the season and every man did enough to win his personal battles."

On-loan Jake Beesley netted the winner to move Avenue four points off the summit and Bower hopes to make use of the 21-year-old for as long as possible.

He said: "We haven't discussed signing him permanently but we're happy with the current situation. He trains at (parent club) Salford City earlier in the week before joining us later on.

"He keeps on doing the business for us on Saturday too so I can't complain."

Bower was happy with the turnout at Horsfall last weekend, saying: "The ground feels fuller at the moment and games and results like this always help.

"We're still always wanting more and I think the proposed changes to our facilities, such as getting fans closer to the pitch, will make a big difference too.

"The club is going in the right direction, but we need to keep pushing."

Also in National League North, Guiseley aim to extend their five-match unbeaten run at home to Blyth Spartans tonight.
