The scorers for Batelians were Rodger Teale and Rob Bordman, whose brace saw him make his tally for the season 30 goals from only seven matches, with Lewis Oddy on target for Tyersal.

Tyersal tried and tried in the early part of the contest to pierce the Batelians rearguard but were foiled by opposition keeper Gavin Baulk.

In terms of chances created, a draw would have been justified, but the defeat leaves Tyersal five points behind leaders Savile Utd, who have not yet dropped a point after six outings.
