ROUTE One Rovers and Littletown went into their respective West Riding County Amateur League games on Saturday being the only two undefeated sides - but both those records were shattered.

Leaders Golcar United visited Route One at Esholt and gave their hosts a lesson in how to finish as two goals each for Buddy Cox and Alex Hallam, plus one from Ryan John, gave them a 5-1 victory. Amir Nawaz netted early in the game for Rovers in vain.

Littletown travelled to Mirfield to play their rivals Lower Hopton, who had shown their defensive frailties the previous weekend when they conceded ten goals in their District FA Cup game.

But they tightened up at the back and, with two goals from Kyle Walton and one from Josh Cooper, ran out 3-1 victors, while Jackson Smith was on hand with Littletown's consolation. Hopton’s victory moved them above their visitors into second place, but three points adrift of Golcar.

Route One's defeat saw Halifax-based Ryburn United move into fourth spot as strikes from Christian Silkstone, George Turner and Bradley Waddington secured a 3-0 home win against Bradford Olympic.

TVR United, who were playing Toller FC for the second successive week, again put their hosts to the sword by netting another five goals against them.

Faisal Shabir’s two goals were complemented with one each from Danny Hussain, Haseeb Rehman and substitute Asif Iqbal. Kamran Khan netted a hat-trick for Toller but it wasn't enough in a 5-3 defeat.

After leaking almost 30 goals in their previous four games, PFC shored up their defence and restricted their visitors Ovenden West Riding to few clear chances.

With goals from Mahammedou Kamera, Ryan Sanson, Hameed Afar and Shehraz Mahmood, PFC ran out comfortable 4-0 victors.

A treble from Graham Holmes and one goal by Ben Cox gave Steeton Reserves a 4-0 home victory over basement side Lepton Highlanders, who have only one point from their ten league games.
