SPEEDWAY superstar Sam McGurk retained his British 125cc title on Sunday in the final at Scunthorpe to become the 2018 British champion.
He has travelled throughout the country to compete in the British youth rounds, and had won three out of four heading into Sunday's Scunthorpe showpiece. Starting the day as red-hot favourite, he made no mistake and delivered the title.
It has been a busy couple of weeks for the young Wyke rider, having gone to Holland to become the Dutch 125cc champion.
In addition to his Dutch and UK wins, he picked up silver in France at the FIM World Youth Gold Trophy last month to complete a remarkable autumn for the 12-year-old.
