ELLIOT Minchella has signed a new deal that will tie him to the Bulls until 2021.

The free-scoring forward has gone full time with his hometown club.

Minchella had a year left on his part-time contract after joining the Bulls from Sheffield.

But he has upgraded to a full-time player to cover the next three seasons.

He said: “I’m very pleased to have signed for the next three years and commit to the club.

“I loved everything about my first year from the players, the staff and the fans - everything was first class and couldn’t have gone any better.”

Minchella enjoyed a prolific season as the Bulls returned to the Championship at the first time of asking.

The 22-year-old played a crucial part in their promotion with 33 tries. Now he believes that giving his full focus to the club and coach John Kear can improve his game even more.

“I’m really looking forward to knuckling down into full-time training,” he added.

“The hard work starts now for me because I’m yet to reach my prime and I’m confident I can achieve that in a Bulls shirt.

“I’m hoping I can become an important member of the squad and hopefully someone John can rely on.

“I’ve loved working with him and all the other staff, he’s filled me with confidence and I’m hoping I can repay him with my performances.

“I’m very excited by the signings we’ve made so far and it’s certainly a statement of intent from the club. I’m just proud to be a part of the rebuilding process of this great team.”
