A RESURGENT Oxenhope Recreation side recorded their second successive win with a fine 3-2 triumph at Pool in Division One of the West Yorkshire League.

Last week's hero Dan Moriarty netted twice and substitute Thomas Marshall also scored as the away side came from behind to win.

Pool started well and took the lead through a fine Ryan Firth strike. He showed an incredible turn of pace before crashing the ball beyond Oxenhope keeper Steve Davies from an impossible angle.

The visitors scored twice just before half-time to turn the game around before adding a third after the break. A late strike from Pool's Greek goal getter Kostas Katsamagkas proved in vain as the hosts remain ninth, while the visitors move up to 13th.

Elsewhere, newly-promoted Otley Town moved away from relegation with a thumping 7-1 win over visitors Wetherby Athletic thanks to four goals from the prolific Kyle Jeffrey.

Town were only 2-1 ahead with 20 minutes left but ran riot with a late burst of goals to record their biggest win of the season.

In the Premier Division, Craig Nicholls, Charles Best and Phillip Stansfield all netted for Rawdon Old Boys against struggling Knaresborough Town but they let in a late equaliser to record a disappointing 3-3 draw.

Salts fought gamely at home to Bradford rivals Field but their 3-2 defeat drops them to the foot of the table. Matthew Bailey and Matthew Bilney scored for the hosts but they were beaten after strikes from Kieran Suddards, Tom Ponter and Ryan Canning.

Wyke Wanderers are also in trouble, and they sit third-bottom after a 3-1 defeat at Horbury Town. Bradley Emmerson's goal proving little consolation for the visitors.

Meanwhile, Whitkirk Wanderers and Ilkley Town shared the spoils following a 1-1 draw.

Kieran Senior scored four goals as Hunsworth won a Division Two thriller 5-3 at home to Swillington Saints, while Altofts surprisingly dropped points at winless Knaresborough Celtic, only managing to draw 2-2.

Lowly Baildon Trinity Athletic picked up a vital 1-0 away win at fellow strugglers Tingley Athletic but Brighouse Old Boys remain with just a single league victory to their name after losing 3-1 at Kellingley Welfare.

Finally, in the West Riding County Challenge Cup, nine-man Campion lost an exciting match 6-3 at home to Barnoldswick Town Reserves.

Spencer Gordon netted twice for the hosts, but their efforts were hampered by red cards to Trinity Brown and Ross Kelly.
