BRADFORD (Park Avenue) face a fascinating home clash against Kidderminster Harriers tomorrow, as two early promotion rivals go head to head at Horsfall.

Manager Mark Bower is in no doubt about the quality of tomorrow's Vanarama National League North opponents, although he feels his side deserve their fair share of praise too.

He said: "They're full time and they have one of the best sides in this league. They have quality throughout the squad and they play good football. A lot of their players in the final third would walk into any team, and they could still win the league.

"It's a big test for us but I bet no one thought when the fixture list came out that we'd only be a place below them at this stage."

Avenue have remained virtually injury-free this season, but they suffered a pair of blows in their 4-2 FA Cup defeat at Altrincham in Luca Havern and Chris Dawson.

Bower groaned: "Neither of them will be out long-term, although they're both doubtful for Kidderminster.

"Luca was the victim of a poor tackle too, but ultimately we didn't deal well enough with their absence.

"We were unlucky with a couple of their goals, with one being a huge deflection, but they were much better than us in the second half.

"Regardless of the injury setbacks, we were disappointing, but there's enough quality in the squad that whoever comes in to replace Luca and Chris this weekend can do a good job."

There will be plenty of off-pitch action tomorrow too, as the club embraces Non-League Day by offering season ticket holders of any club the chance to attend for £5, while students can pick up a £10 season ticket.

Owner Gareth Roberts will also be hosting an open forum with the club's fans after the game.

Bower enthused: "We want to improve attendances and have supporters come back more often. We want the club exposed to a wider fanbase.

"Gareth's obviously come over to sort out things regarding the infrastructure of the club and the academy but he's looking forward to the game too and hopefully he'll see us win."
