BRADFORD Bulls youngster Jordan Lilley has been playing out of position at hooker, but he insists he is happy to do his duty there ahead of their huge Betfred League One play-off final clash against Workington Town.

He said: "I just want to play rugby and enjoy it. I'm loving it here and although I'd prefer to be playing at half-back than at nine, sometimes you just have to do it for the team.

"I'm not the biggest and a lot of teams come at me. I'm sure Workington will do the same if I'm in the middle this week. I'll put my body in the way though to make sure we get that win.

"I think my game has developed massively under John Kear. He's given me my confidence back and the lads are great too.

"They've made me feel really welcome. I've got some good pals here now and we socialise and play Fortnite together.

"We've got a good group, John's a great coach and hopefully we can do him justice this week and get that win."

Lilley has experienced games of this magnitude before and he said: "It's what you play rugby for, to compete in play-off finals. It's a massive game and hopefully we can get the club back into the Championship.

"I've had the pressure of playing in the World Club Challenge for Leeds Rhinos so hopefully I can bring what I experienced there into this game, as well as bit of control to the team."

The 22-year-old highlighted the dangers that Workington possess, although he is confident that Bulls can use their committed supporters to help them get the job done.

He said: "Workington have got some experience with players that have been around the block at different levels and played in Super League.

"Fuifui Moimoi makes a big impact when he's there and Sean Penkywicz played really well against us at dummy half last time.

"It's going to be an exciting game. Hopefully we can have a packed Odsal and get the job done. That way we can celebrate with all the fans and sponsors to top off a good year."
