CELEBRATING a successful junior season during BullBuilder’s annual awards evening, the Bradford Bulls introduced 18 new recruits which will form the Under-15s scholarship.

It was fitting that Bradford legend and heroic academy product, Stuart Fielden helped host the evening, making it a night to remember for the next generation of junior Bulls hoping to make their way through the Odsal club's development pathway.

As a new wave of young Bulls were showcased to the sell-out crowd, current academy products were also shown the gratitude they deserve.

Matthew Storton (u19s) and Kieron Brining (u16s) were both rewarded with their respective player-of-the-season awards following fantastic years in the red amber and black.

U19s head coach, Leigh Beattie also picked up the Paul Fisher ‘Outstanding Contribution Award’ for his services to the club during 2018, as well as football manager Stuart Duffy being highlighted for 20 years’ work at the club.

Head of youth, John Bastian said: “I thought it was a really organised evening.

"It was terrific to have Stuart Fielden back at Odsal and we have to thank BullBuilder for putting on the awards and certainly the players and staff that won the awards.

“I was really delighted with Kieron Brining, who has had a fantastic season in the u16s with head coach Mark Dunning, and the same goes for Matthew Storton, he has got a great personality and a wonderful attitude and he is now starting the break through into the first team.

“It was great to see them all in their Bulls shirts.

"They were supported by their families and friends at the BullBuilder awards evening, which was about presenting them to the crowd in the Southbank and also giving them recognition of how well they are doing at their community club.

“We have set high standards at Bradford Bulls and these young players will become part of our family moving forward and we look forward to seeing them progress and develop over the next few years.

“We want to keep this production our youth line moving forward and consistently improving as we progress through the years. I don’t think there is anybody that wants to stand still and that certainly includes all of the staff that will help and support these young players.”
