YORKSHIRE enjoyed a productive, but shortened, second afternoon against Hampshire at Emerald Headingley.
The White Rose are in a healthy position as they pursue a Specsavers County Championship win which would secure their Division One safety with one round still to go next week.
Hampshire, replying to Yorkshire’s first-innings 184, were bowled out for 157 in the early stages of the afternoon - delayed by 50 minutes for rain.
Ben Coad trapped Gareth Berg lbw, with Tim Bresnan finishing with career best figures of 5-28 from 13 overs.
Yorkshire then built on their lead of 27, reaching tea at 65-2 - a lead of 92.
Jeet Raval was caught behind off Fidel Edwards, before Liam Dawson had Harry Brook lbw for 28 at the start of the afternoon’s final over.
