PUDSEY St Lawrence will be bidding to reach their second Yorkshire Premier League Championship final tomorrow.

The newly-crowned All Rounder Cricket Bradford Premier League Champions take on the North Yorkshire South Durham League side Great Ayton at Scarborough (11am) in the semi-finals.

And they will be hoping they are able to repeat the victory they had over Great Ayton in 2016.

“That was a close game and we know that they play their cricket tough,” said St Lawrence skipper Chris Marsden.

“On that occasion the win earned us a trip to Abu Dhabi and we are determined to try and make next Saturday’s final at Headingley.

“We have been on a good run recently and we want to continue that form at Scarborough which is a great place to play. The wickets are good there with a bit of pace in them,” added Marsden.

The main focus of the final league matches is the battle for the Championship One title.

Undercliffe, who face a tricky away game at Bankfoot, currently have a two-point lead over Wrenthorpe who are at home to Baildon. If Undercliffe pick up 19 points they will be assured of the title.

Wakefield St Michael’s know that victory at Hopton Mills will give them top spot in Championship Two. Keighley, the only team who could catch them, visit Northowram Fields.

Two points is all Jer Lane need at East Leeds to crown their first season in the league with the Conference title.

Adwalton and Azaad are fighting it out for the second promotion place. Adwalton are are at Oulton, while Azaad go to Great Preston.
