MICHAEL Collins was left questioning City’s lack of response after another dispiriting defeat at Fleetwood today.

The Bantams were beaten 2-1 at Highbury despite the home side playing for 48 minutes with 10 men after Wes Burns was sent off.

Collins had demanded a reaction from last week’s home loss to Wycombe – and was left disappointed again.

He said: “You can only go on so long telling people the same messages and working on the same things.

“You have to see a response out there on the pitch and I’ve not seen that. You have to look at things and ask questions of people.

“We saw the fight and desire but there was a lack of quality at key moments and we got punished by two sloppy goals.”

Collins was frustrated that both Fleetwood goals came from crosses.

“You can work all week but on a Saturday you’ve got to get pressure on the ball.

“You allow any player at this level the room to put the ball in the box, whether it’s a good delivery or not, people will make mistakes.

“Off the back of that, you’ll get punished and that’s what has happened today.

“We worked a lot this week on making sure you get pressure on the ball and being hard to beat.

“For large spells of the first half, we got that right and kept a disciplined shape. But we didn’t do enough when we had the ball.”
