ARTHUR Kitt can bridge the 70-day gap since his unlikely Royal Ascot triumph by upstaging other promising two-year-olds in the 188Bet Solario Stakes at Sandown.

The Tom Dascombe-trained colt looked to be struggling three furlongs out in the Chesham Stakes, but somehow pulled it out of the fire to lead close home and deny Nate The Great by a neck in the Listed contest over seven furlongs.

Arthur Kitt appeared to need every yard of that trip though he had won over six furlongs at Haydock on his only other previous start a month earlier.

The stiff seven furlongs he will encounter this time should be right up his street and the son of Camelot can continue his climb up the ladder to lift this Group Three prize.

Veracious can make the most of a drop in company in the 188Bet Casino Atalanta Stakes.

She has been highly tried so far this year, finishing third in the Coronation Stakes behind star miler Alpha Centauri on her belated seasonal bow at Royal Ascot before filling the same position in the Nassau last time.

Veracious was only headed for second in the dying strides of that 10-furlong event, so switching back to a mile while dropping to Group Three class from the top level are both factors in her favour.

Restorer shaped promisingly at Newmarket on his first day for 75 days and, with the cobwebs blown away, can strike for trainer Ian Williams in the Best Odds Guaranteed at 188Bet Handicap.

He had won at Chester in May but disappointed when favourite for the Zetland Gold Cup at Redcar later that month.

Williams wisely gave Restorer a break and it can pay dividends.

The redoubtable Take Cover can become the second horse to register back-to-back wins in the William Hill Beverley Bullet on the Westwood.

Chookie Heiton did the business in 2004 and 2005 and he can be joined by David Griffiths' remarkable 11-year-old.

He has run two excellent races recently, finishing second to Battaash in the King George Stakes at Glorious Goodwood and was sixth behind shock winner Alpha Delphini in the Nunthorpe at York last week.

Take Cover thrives on his racing and would be a popular winner of this Listed sprint.

Duretto can make his course form count when he lines up for the Foxy Bingo Fast And Fabulous Chester Stakes on the Roodee.

Successful in a Listed contest over an extended mile-and-a-half round this unique track in September, Andrew Balding's six-year-old was not disgraced in the Ormonde on his latest visit to Cheshire and will be further helped by this longer trip.

Richard Hughes has a likeable young sprinter in Gold Filigree, who is 18lb higher than when winning for the first time at Wolverhampton in November.

Having had three more victories since then, the three-year-old filly can maintain her progress by taking the Like Sun Racing In Facebook Handicap.
