WHOEVER works on the RFU’s fixture computer perhaps has a future with Sky Sports, who always like to kick the season off in style.

The opening four weeks of the season brings derbies between Keighley and Bradford Salem, Cleckheaton and Bradford & Bingley, Baildon and Aireborough and Wharfedale and Otley.

First up is the Yorkshire Division One clash at Rose Cottage, with home skipper Alex Brown saying: “We have been working on our organisation and structure.”

Back after a long-term injury is hooker Will Armitage, while the Currie brothers Luke and Jon have joined from Skipton.

Among the debutants at home to Scarborough tomorrow are hooker Alex Keeton, scrum half Dan Nota, full back Aaron Magee and Croatians Ante Majic and Jan Vlasic.

Old Grovians are an unknown quantity at home to North Ribblesdale in Yorkshire Two, while Baildon hope to carry on the form they showed at the end of last season when they host Hemsworth in Yorkshire Three.

Wibsey, who host Halifax, are hoping to make a serious tilt at the Yorkshire Division Four title.
