REBEL ASSAULT continues to slide down the ratings and should be competitive once again in the EBF Stallions Winners Fillies' Handicap at Musselburgh.

Mark Johnston has tried her in better races than this in the past, with her Listed success in York's Rockingham Stakes last year marking her out as smarter than the average filly.

However, she has not been in anywhere near the same kind of form this term, with 10 outings yet to yield any better than a handful of third places.

Her mark has duly slumped from 98 to her current perch of 87, but she showed she is capable enough off that kind of level when beaten just under three lengths at Chelmsford last week.

She just faded a bit in the final strides that day, but Rebel Assault clearly remains in good heart and should be in the mix once again.

Trautmann can bring up his hat-trick at the Edinburgh venue in the 188Bet Extra Place Races Handicap.

He has struck over this extended 12 furlongs on his last two starts, triumphing first in July and then again earlier this month.

Trautmann has gone up 7lb in total for his efforts, but he appears to be progressing this term and further improvement is not ruled out.

Dizoard looks to have found her level and must be considered for the Best Odds Guaranteed At 188Bet Stayers Handicap.

She has placed in two events over the course and distance on her last two starts and should go close again off an unchanged mark.

Romaana hit the bar last time out when things did not pan out totally in her favour, so compensation hopefully awaits in the Get So Much More With Racing UK Fillies' Novice Stakes at Catterick.

She did not get the best of starts on her handicap bow at Wolverhampton and eventually had to give best to a rival who had achieved a much handier placing through the early stages.

Simon Crisford switches back to novice company and it is easy to see why, as Romaana has a chunk in hand on the official numbers.

Thunder Speed may have been well beaten in third when last seen but should not be dismissed in the 32Red On The App Store Handicap at Kempton.

Formerly trained by Fozzy Stack in Ireland, Thunder Speed just appeared to be lacking a bit of match practice earlier this month on what was his first start since last December.

James Fanshawe's runner is sure to be a bit sharper for that outing and can get off the mark in Britain now.

Temeraire should appreciate the switch back to the all-weather in Lingfield's Phil Boyle BG Racing Handicap, after finding easy ground not at all to her liking at Ffos Las.
