THERE were goals galore on Saturday when 42 were scored in the six West Riding County Amateur League Premier Division games played.

Leading the way with ten were Lower Hopton, who taught their hosts Toller FC a lesson in finishing with a 10-3 victory.

James Heeley, Adam Stephenson and Liam Royal all doubled up with two goals apiece to add to one each from Bobby Evans, Alex Barnes, Josh Cooper and Kyle Watson, while Jamie Sugden (2) and Tawheed Hamed replied for Toller.

Last season's champions Golcar United suffered a surprise setback when they lost 3-2 at TVR United.

Faisal Shabir, Danny Hussain and Asif Iqbal were on target for TVR, while Bobby Cox and Toby Farrington hit the net for Golcar.

Ovenden West Riding kicked off their season with a 9-2 home victory over Huddersfield side Lepton Highlanders. Liam Carroll (4), Glynne Beale (3) and Jamie Keegan were on target for West Riding, with John Thompson scoring both Lepton's goals.

Littletown took their tally to 23 in their first three games and maintained their top spot when they beat Steeton Reserves 6-2.

Pat Sykes, with four goals, led the way while Joe Jagger (2) provided support, including one from the spot.

Will Knight replied twice for the visitors.

Bradford Olympic and Route One Rovers played out a 1-1 draw, Kieron Batey scoring for Olympic in the first half before Awais Khan levelled the game after the break for Rovers.

AFC Bingley slipped to a third successive defeat, as visitors P FC won 3-0 with two goals from Zubair Khan after Ben McCardle had opened the scoring.
