LITTLETOWN took full advantage of West Riding County Amateur League newcomers AFC Bingley lacking a regular keeper when the Premier Division kicked off.

The Bingley stand-in was in danger of having a bad back as he had to pick the ball out of the net 15 times as striker Joe Jagger’s six goals were assisted by a brace each from Jackson Smith and Mat Addy, and one apiece by Pat Sykes,

Dave Wright, Adam Jordan, David McDonald and substitute Jordan Missin in the Beck Lane side's 15-1 victory,

with Jack Lewis managing a consolation goal.

Halifax-based side Ryburn United started their first season in the league with a trip to last season’s champions Golcar United, and the newcomers gave a good account of themselves, not being outclassed in a 4-2 defeat.

Buddy Cox, Dave Conway, Ryan Jon and match-day signing Danny Naidole netted for Golcar, while George Turner and Lewis Brearley replied.

Toller, who, like Bingley moved over from Sunday football, picked up a point in a 2-2 draw at PFC, with Tawheed Ahmed netting both Toller goals, while Mohammed Khan and Sheraz Mahmood were on target for the home side.

Route One Rovers showed that they will once again be challenging for honours as they started their season with a 6-1 victory at DRAM Community.

Mohammed Javed and Awais Khan both netted twice, with Aged Yaqoob and Shoaib Iqbal adding a goal each.

Bradford Olympic stated their season on a high, with James Wright scoring the only goal in the second half to give them a 1-0 success at Lepton Highlanders.

TVR United were also winners as Arron Abbas and Abid Kahn scored in their 2-1 victory at Lower Hopton.
