Michael Scarborough will be captaining his Oakworth II side in the Cowling Cup semi-final against Barrowford II after they were reinstated to the competition
HEPWORTH & Idle II have been eliminated from the Cowling Cup after fielding an ineligible player in their third-round victory. This means that their opponents that day, Oakworth II, will now take their place in the semi-final.
Therefore, Oakworth II will play Barrowford II in the last four on August 12, for the right to face Bingley Congs II or Foulridge II in the final.
Meanwhile, the Manorlands Plate competition, which was to be played at Airedale CC on Sunday, has been cancelled due to the incessant rain.
It is hoped that the day will be rearranged for later in the season. This is the league’s main charity fundraising cause for Manorlands Hospice.
