BRADFORD Olympian Trampolining Club are jumping for joy after six of their competition squad have been selected to represent Yorkshire at a national event at Arena Birmingham this weekend.

The sextet are Billy Campbell, Dexter Clarke-Dunn, Harrison Holmes, Evie Ingram, Robert Taylor-Smith and Olivia Wagstaff.

They had to progress through a series of qualification rounds, with 20 club members attaining the required marks to reach the Yorkshire Regional finals at Pocklington in March.

There Bradford Olympian came away with four golds and three silvers, plus a crop of personal-best scores, leading to the six being chosen to represent the white rose at the national team finals.

This success builds on last year when three members represented Yorkshire, with Campbell taking gold in his age group and then a silver representing his club at the Trampoline and Tumbling National Development Plan finals in Telford.

Four of the five Bradford Olympian members will be representing Yorkshire for the first time.

Olivia and Billy represented the white rose last year.

The Girlington-based club, established in 1984 by head coach Mike Abbott, have around 100 members aged between five and 24, and have recreational trampolining as well as their successful competition squad.

More information about the club, including details of how to join, are available from the club website at www.bradfordolympian.co.uk.
