LATEST: Bradford City sign Anthony O'Connor on three-year deal

CITY are poised to make Anthony O'Connor their fourth summer addition.

The centre half has spent the last two seasons with Aberdeen, helping the Dons to a second-place finish in the Scottish Premiership this year.

O'Connor, who is reported to have turned down a new deal at Pittodrie, has also had spells with Burton, Plymouth and Torquay having started his career in Blackburn's youth set-up.

It is understood the right-sided 25-year-old, who can also play as a defensive midfielder, could complete a deal today, following hot on the heels of centre half Thomas Isherwood, who signed from Bayern Munich earlier this week.

City's on-field planning for next season has not been hampered by the long wait for a new head coach, which is now into a sixth week, with Joe Riley and Josh Wright having also been brought in.

With head of recruitment Greg Abbott back at work following prostate cancer surgery, the Bantams are much further ahead in terms of their squad building compared with 12 months ago.

They have also been linked with Wolves winger Sherwin Seedorf, who is the nephew of Dutch international and former AC Milan player Clarence Seedorf.

The youngster has yet to feature for the first team but has impressed in the under-23s and is set to earn a new deal with Premier League-bound Wanderers, who are reportedly looking to send him on loan to gain experience.

City would face strong competition for the former Feyenoord youngster.

Meanwhile, the club have confirmed that they will still be producing a regular matchday programme next season.

English Football League teams are no longer obliged to print one for every game following a vote at the league's annual general meeting.
