BRADFORD Dudley Hill have dropped to the bottom of Kingstone Press National Conference League Division One after suffering a ninth defeat in 11 matches.

Their latest setback was by 50-10 at Pilkington Recs, who started the day only two points better off than their visitors.

Hooker Ben Sheridan’s try briefly brought Hill level inside the opening ten minutes but they didn’t score again until the 67th minute when their man of the match Aiden Batey, who was playing loose forward, went over, with Simon Sewell adding the goal.

The visitors, who were then trailing 38-10, conceded two more converted tries as Recs brought up the half-century, with four of their nine tries going to winger Jake Hodson, with others being scored by centres Ian Stanley (2), who was their man of the match, and Andy Nisbet, full back Ryan Hilliard and winger Kieron Knapper.

In Division Two, West Bowling, after a good second quarter, led 12-10 at half-time at Wigan St Judes, but could not add to their tally against a strong defence and finished 38-12 losers.

Tries for Bowling came from Joe Hammond and Jack Milburn, with Liam Coe adding a conversion and a penalty.

There was better news from Yorkshire Men's League Division One, where unbeaten leaders Queensbury defeated visitors Hull Wyke 44-12.

On the scoresheet were Tom Hainsworth (3), Robson Moore (2), Josh Plunkett (2) and Steve Nagy, with Andy Robinson landing six kicks.

However, Odsal Sedbergh went down 52-18 at home to Boothtown Terriers in Division Two, with the teams leapfrogging each other, while basement boys Birstall Victoria also shipped 52 at new leaders Elland in Division Three but scored only six.

Luke Gledhill, Daniel Worby and Callum Lumb scored tries for Wyke Academy in their 58-16 home defeat against St Joseph's in Division Five, but Brighouse Rangers beat Kirkburton Cougars 34-20 in a friendly, with Andy Esmond bagging a hat-trick.
