ED Hall will not be earning his second international cap for Yorkshire this weekend, with Bradford Park Avenue manager Mark Bower insisting that he needs his first-choice goalkeeper available during a gruelling 10 days of fixtures.

The Vanarama National League North side face four games in that period. A trip to FC United of Manchester on Saturday is followed by a home game against Telford United on Monday, before two clashes over the Easter weekend.

Bower did release Hall to play against Ellan Vannin for his international debut in January but he explained that circumstances were different back then, saying: "He's definitely in our side at the moment. We had a free week after the (international) game that he played last time. This time our games are on Saturday and Monday and we're going to need him for those two."

The game tomorrow sees Avenue take on a leaky defence. Their Manchester opponents have conceded 66 league goals this season, more than everyone except bottom side North Ferriby United.

Bower has confidence in his strikers and has backed them to get at the home team.

He said: "We've got goals in our frontline. If we get them on the ball we can try and dominate possession and create chances.

"Hopefully we can stick enough away to win. I don't mind if we win 1-0 or 5-4, it's all about the three points."

Avenue have only played on a couple of occasions in the past month, so this busy week could come as a shock to the system for them.

However, despite admitting that the situation was far from ideal, Bower is confident that his squad can cope.

He said: "We've managed to get a few players back available which will stand us in good stead I'm sure. We've got plenty of younger bodies that can play three games in the next week or so."

"It's been frustrating at times not being able to train but we've got some good sessions in this week and we've been preparing the lads for an important game on Saturday.

"The lads have played a lot of games (already this season) so I'm not too concerned from that point of view."

Avenue fans will be hoping this weekend's game is as exciting as their last one against Alfreton Town a fortnight ago. After being 2-1 and 3-2 down, they came back to earn a point thanks to an Oli Johnson brace.
