STEPHEN Warnock is the other loan signing on the way to City from Burton, the Telegraph & Argus understands.
Now 36, the former England international had a previous stint at Valley Parade in 2002 when he played 12 games under Nicky Law.
Warnock has played 15 games for the Brewers this season and will bring plenty of experience at left back or in midfield.
City are set to sign his team-mate Matty Lund on loan today as well as completing a full-time deal for Australian international defender Ryan McGowan.
Beginning with his native Liverpool, Warnock's long career also includes spells with Coventry, Blackburn, Aston Villa, Leeds and Wigan.
Warnock was capped twice by England and travelled with Fabio Capello's squad to the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
