FOUR-times Bradford champion Gareth Green is the first player through to the quarter-finals of the Bradford Snooker Championship.

The 2010 Yorkshire champion booked his place with a 4-0 victory against Dave Tolson.

Stefan Risidi, who still holds the high break of 75, will take on 2004 champion Howard Mawson in a last-16 tie.

Other matches which are all due to be played by Wednesday, January 31 are: Chris Hegarty v Paul Davey, Adam Tipper v Damien Bentley, Mark Slater v Anthony Green, Mark Ball v Jason Murgatroyd, Lewis Walsh v Chris Tolson, Josh Walker v Peter Hamilton.

Bradford No 1 head to Sheffield No 1 on Sunday in Division One of the Yorkshire Inter-District League, looking to cement their place at the top of the table.

Bradford No 2 are next in action on the weekend of January 13-14 when they host Sheffield No 3, the same weekend as Bradford's billiards side head to Doncaster.
