MARC McNulty is not just making up the numbers at Sheffield United, Blades boss Chris Wilder today insisted.
The Scot was recalled halfway through his season-long loan with the Bantams after Wilder contacted Stuart McCall on Sunday.
McNulty was a sub in Sheffield United’s 3-1 win at Bury yesterday but did not get on.
But Wilder said: “I’ve said there will be an opportunity for Sparky.
“I always thought it was a bit of a learning curve at the start with the transfer window being what it is. He’s not back to make the numbers up.
“Yes, we have to look after ourselves as a club and make sure the numbers are right.
“But if people drop out, then he’ll get a chance as has happened with Leon (Clarke).
“I’ve spoken to Marc and he’s been positive after coming back in. It’s up to him now.”
