North West Counties League Premier Division: Silsden 2 Abbey Hey 2
TWO dramatic late strikes, one of which was a penalty, earned Silsden a point from the visit of Abbey Hey but the Cobbydalers remain second from bottom as new boss James Gill searches for his first win.
Following a goalless first half, the visitors broke the deadlock in the 54th minute when Andrew Smith headed in at the near post following a corner.
Just five minutes from time, Justin Pickering cut inside before drilling a low shot past Ed Hall to double Abbey Hey’s lead.
The comeback started a minute later when a Kyle Hancock corner reached Will Storrie, and the substitute prodded the ball home.
It was a Storrie cross that was handled for the penultimate-minute spot-kick, and Joe Mitchell bagged the Cobbydalers a point.
