HUDDERSFIELD Town head coach David Wagner was satisfied after seeing his side stretch their unbeaten run to six matches with a 1-1 draw against Fulham.

Cottagers' strikers Ross McCormack rocked the hosts with a second-minute strike – his fourth goal in five appearances against Town, including a hat-trick for former club Leeds.

McCormack will not score many simpler goals after Town midfielder Jonathan Hogg rolled a pass to him on the edge of the box.

The in-form striker was one-on-one with Jed Steer and made no mistake with the finish.

However, Terriers centre-back Mark Hudson – who started his career at Craven Cottage – levelled in the 20th minute when he stuck out a boot and turned Emyr Huws' free-kick beyond Andy Lonergan and into the far corner for his second goal in four days.

Jamie Paterson hit the post for Town and Fulham's Alex Kacaniklic had an effort ruled out for offside.

"It's good but we have to analyse our performances game by game," said Wagner.

"This was a very different game to Tuesday when we beat Charlton 5-0. We have to be open and fresh to new ideas.

"After the game I accept the result and I am not unhappy with a point. With the way we started it was not easy.

"At half-time we showed the players some clips about where they went wrong and second half it was much better.

"The result was fair because Fulham have some good players."

Wagner said Fulham were playing the same footballing style as Town and added: "I enjoyed the game.

"Technically it was very good to watch. Sometimes when two opponents play this style it is not the nicest to watch but this was a good game."
