FARNLEY Sports suffered their first Yorkshire Amateur League defeat in more than 12 months after losing 3-1 at home to Trinity Old Boys in the Premier Division.

Farnley went ahead through Adam Horner but Andy Kenyon replied twice and Adam Gillett also notched to seal the visitors' win.

Farsley Celtic Juniors OB secured a 2-0 home win over previously unbeaten Grangefield OB with goals from Danny Lyons and substitute Tyler Cooper.

In Division Two, Farsley Celtic Reserves beat Leeds Medics IV 5-0 to make it five wins out of five. Steve Wells claimed a four-goal haul and has now bagged 14 this season, making him the section's leading scorer.

A remarkable game in Division Six saw St Bedes Reserves miss out 7-5 at home to Norristhorpe Reserves.

Meanwhile, a Marflitt Trophy clash resulted in Dewsbury Rangers claiming a 5-3 home win over Fairbank United.

Gildersome Spurs OB enjoyed a thumping 10-2 home victory against Woodhouse Moor Meths, with Mike Hall scoring four times, to secure a tie at Stanningley OB.

Thornesians saw off Calverley United 4-1 with strikes from Joe Cook (2), Gareth Hill and Daniel Leech.

Shane Sowden scored five times as Drighlington won 7-4 at St Nicholas after extra time.

The scores were tied at 4-4 at the end of 90 minutes but Sowden's contribution proved decisive and Drighlington will face Farsley Celtic Juniors in the next round.

St Bede's beat Woodkirk Valley 7-4 after extra time and will entertain Morley Town in the next round.

In the Hancock Cup first round, Drighlington Reserves swamped Leeds Mods Reserves 8-0 and Grangefield OB Reserves beat Horsforth St Margaret's Reserves 3-2.

North Leeds Reserves lost 6-3 at home to Farnley Sports Reserves after extra time.
